All of our psychologists have completed postgraduate training in psychology. This means they have all undertaken extra training in evidence-based theory, assessment, diagnosis and the practical application of effective strategies to assist in helping clients presenting with a wide range of difficulties.
All of our psychologists are fully registered with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA), are members of the Australian Psychological Society (APS), are approved Medicare Providers and are experienced working with children, adolescents, adults and families. They all continue to attend regular professional development as part of ongoing registration requirements.
THERESA LINDFIELD (Director)
B.Sc (HONS) M. Psych (Clin), MAPS
Theresa is a senior Clinical Psychologist who has been practising for over 40 years
Theresa works Monday, Tuesday and Thursday
Theresa has a Science degree in Applied Psychology and a postgraduate Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology, both from UNSW. She started her career as a Clinical Psychologist in the area of Child Protection and foster care. Theresa has also worked as a school psychologist at a Catholic Girls’ High School and subsequently helped to establish a Youth Refuge providing residential care for challenging teens in 1991.
Theresa has been working in private practice on a part-time basis since 1995. She has worked with a very broad range of presenting adjustment difficulties across the life span, including mood disorders such as depression and grief, as well as anxieties including phobias, agoraphobia, panic attacks, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and PTSD / trauma. She primarily uses evidence-based therapies including CBT, ACT, DBT, IPT and Play Therapy. She is especially experienced in the area of childhood trauma. Theresa also has extensive experience in cognitive/ academic assessments of children, young people, and adults including ADHD and learning difficulties.
Over the years, Theresa has provided supervision and training to trainee Psychologists and School Counsellors, as well as other Psychologists in Private Practice or various non-government agencies working with children and adolescents. She is a board-approved clinical supervisor.
Theresa is a warm and compassionate therapist with a strong belief in working collaboratively with clients to help them to both understand and express their individual needs, as well as to make positive changes for improvement in their lives and relationships.
TRACEY PEARSE (Director)

Tracey is an experienced Clinical Psychologist who has been practising for over 30 years
Tracey works Tuesday, Thursday and Friday
Tracey trained at Sydney University and Macquarie University. She has been working with children, adolescents, adults and families since 1991. She began her career working as a Psychologist in Central West NSW at Cowra Hospital and community centres in Canowindra, Grenfell and Orange. She then worked with adolescents in Out Of Home Care who presented with extreme behavioural difficulties. Tracey has also worked as a school psychologist as well as with targeted early intervention programs supporting vulnerable children and families. She has been working in Private Practice since 2006 and offers diverse work and life experience.
Tracey returned to complete her Clinical Master’s degree at Macquarie University in a part-time capacity in 2008 while continuing to work in Private Practice. She completed the degree in 2014 and graduated in 2015. During this time, she was involved in running a social skills group for children and their parents. She also ran a variety of groups one day a week for adults and adolescents receiving inpatient treatment for a variety of mental health conditions at a psychiatric hospital in Sydney.
Tracey has experience working with individuals across the lifespan from young children to adolescents, adults, parents and the elderly. She has experience working with a wide range of psychological issues including anxiety, depression, adjustment issues, emotional and behavioural difficulties, AD/HD, Autism, learning issues, sleep problems, self-esteem and confidence issues, early childhood difficulties (e.g. separation anxiety and toileting issues) and parenting support. MARGARET TAYLOR
B.Sc(HONS), M. Psych (Clin), PGDip Clinical Neuropsychology, MAPS
Margaret is an experienced Clinical Psychologist who has been practising for 28 years
Margaret works Mondays
Margaret holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology and a Bachelor of Science with Honours from the University of Western Australia. She also has a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Neuropsychology from Kings College, London.
Margaret has spent more than 20 years working in both public and private mental health care settings in Australia and the UK, predominantly with children and adolescents. She has considerable experience treating anxiety disorders, depression, PTSD and complex behavioural and emotional problems in young people and adults, including those who are neurodiverse. She also has experience in the treatment of eating disorders having completed training in this specialist area to provide a family treatment approach for families who have a child/adolescent diagnosed with an Eating Disorder (Family Based Therapy) or individual treatment for children, adolescents and adults diagnosed with an Eating Disorder (CBT-E). Margaret also works with children & families to overcome conflict arising from relationships or changes within the family, such as separation. She has a special interest in school refusal and currently works part-time at Rivendell Child, Adolescent & Family Mental Health Service at Concord Hospital. Margaret has been working part-time in private practice since 2013.
Margaret uses a flexible, child-centred approach and provides a family friendly environment to achieve the maximum therapeutic benefit for the young person and their family. Appointments may involve the young person and their parent(s), the young person on their own, or working alongside parents/caregivers to enhance their ability to support and guide their child/adolescent through challenging periods.
Margaret is dedicated to delivering evidence-based interventions and draws on the following skills based therapies in her clinical practice: CBT (including Trauma-Focused CBT), DBT and ACT. DR JULIA WHITE
B.Com, B.Sc – Psych (Hons), M.Clin Psych, PhD, MAPS
Julia is an experienced Clinical Psychologist
Julia works Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
Julia holds a Master’s degree and PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of Sydney, in addition to a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Science with first class Honours in Psychology. She is a warm and collaborative therapist, who adopts a strengths-based, systemic approach to working with children, young people and the adults who care for them.
Julia has extensive experience working with children and their families across health, educational and not-for-profit services in Sydney and regional NSW. She has a special interest in the treatment of child anxiety and has completed additional training in the Cool Kids and Metacognitive Therapy anxiety management programs. Julia’s Honours and PhD research focused on anxiety in children, and she has published journal articles and presented at international conferences in this field.
In addition to her experience with anxiety disorders, Julia has supported children and young people with a wide range of challenges, including emotion regulation and behavioural difficulties, depression, trauma, social difficulties and bullying, grief and loss, sleep difficulties, and neurodevelopmental conditions such as ADHD, Autism and learning disorders. She has experience and specialist training in the assessment and diagnosis of neurodevelopmental, behavioural and mental health concerns, and a broad range of evidence-based therapies and parenting programs, including CBT, TF-CBT, ACT, DBT, Metacognitive Therapy, Theraplay, Tuning in to Kids, and the Berry Street Education Model.
Julia has facilitated numerous group programs for children, adolescents and adults, including in the areas of child anxiety, social anxiety, emotional resilience, grief and loss, disaster recovery, parenting strategies, and family recovery from addiction. She has developed and delivered professional development workshops for educators and clinicians in the areas of anxiety, suicide prevention and community trauma. Julia is a board-approved clinical supervisor.
